Stepping Out, Growing Strong: My Fulfilling Booth Experience

Stepping Out, Growing Strong: My Fulfilling Booth Experience

Stepping out into the world of booths was a daunting step for me. Having been in the retail industry for many years, I’ve always understood the challenges of selling handmade goods: not just in showcasing them but in hoping that people would see their value. There’s always a lingering worry that handmade items might not be perceived as worth the price, especially when compared to mass-produced alternatives. But despite those fears, I took the leap, and I’m so glad I did. So many people stopped by, not just to browse but to genuinely show their support, to appreciate the meaning behind each piece, and to celebrate the joy of creativity, community, and living in the present. I gained far more from this experience than I ever imagined.

A Look Back: My Booth Experiences

📍 Curbside Crafters (Feb 18-23)
📍 Punggol SAFRA (Feb 28 - Mar 2)
📍 SIM University (Mar 4-5)

Each booth brought its own unique moments, and looking back, it’s all just pure joy. To everyone who stopped by, chatted, and supported in any way—thank you. And to those who visited not just one but multiple booths, your kindness left me speechless. I never expected to see familiar faces at different locations, and there are no words to describe the overwhelming gratitude I feel. Thank you for being part of this journey.

A special mention to friends and family who made surprise visits—it meant the world to me. And to those who couldn’t make it in person but supported through social media, messages, and quiet encouragement, you’re just as much a part of this. Some of you support in ways that aren’t always visible, but I see it, and I appreciate it more than you know.

Running these booths taught me so much, and I’ll definitely be implementing some changes moving forward. We sold out of some items and had low quantities left of others, which was both exciting and eye-opening! Based on this, we’re adjusting production plans and would love to hear your thoughts—what you liked, what you’d love to see more of. Your feedback means everything!

One last-minute addition was the care cards—we made them on the final day of the last booth, so only a handful of people received them! These cards link to an aftercare page for Laluna’s handmade creations, now available for everyone here: The Charm of Handmade Creations.

We’ve also updated the website so that customers can share their thoughts—whether good, bad, or anything in between. It’s completely anonymous, and if you’d like to leave a message about Laluna the Panda, you can do so here: Laluna Listens or by scrolling to the bottom of our homepage. If you have any inquiries that require a response, please email us instead.

A highlight of this journey was making new friends along the way. One such friend, whom I met at the booth, showed endless support, and we even captured a special moment together in our oversized tees—a memory I’ll cherish forever. There were no model shots to showcase the OS Tees in action, and this photo speaks volumes in the world of Laluna. Thank you for the extra exposure and push!

This journey has been beyond fulfilling, and I can’t wait for what’s next. Thank you again for being part of it. 💕

I also want to take a moment to thank myself. For showing up, for pushing through the doubts, and for taking that first step. It wasn’t easy, but by turning up for myself, I opened the door to all the wonderful things I experienced along the way. The support, the connections, the growth—it all came because I chose to take that leap. I’m proud of myself for embracing the journey, and I know that this is just the beginning.
