Bloom Buddies: A Collection That Grows with You
The inspiration behind Bloom Buddies started with an acquaintance who works in HR. Beyond managing people and policies, part of her role is to create a welcoming office environment—a space that feels alive, fresh, and inspiring. And what better way to do that than with plants?
She carefully chose low-maintenance greens, easy to care for, perfect for the bustling office life. At first, excitement filled the air—colleagues eagerly picked out their own little pots, watering them with care, watching them thrive. The workspace felt warm, personal, and brimming with life.
But as time passed, priorities shifted. Deadlines took over, meetings stretched late, and business trips left desks empty for weeks. Slowly, the once-vibrant plants began to wither. Some were abandoned, others overwatered in desperate attempts to revive them. The cycle repeated itself, and soon, the green sanctuary faded.
This ebb and flow of office greenery became the heart of Bloom Buddies—a collection that celebrates the fleeting yet meaningful moments of care, growth, and the beauty found in small efforts. Just like those plants, friendships and workplace connections need tending. A little attention, a small act of kindness, and a moment of presence can make all the difference.
Bloom Buddies is a collection made of polymer clay, featuring delicate flower pots with a pink rose, purple tulip, green calla lily, and red poppy. The idea took shape when I decided to create a gift for another HR friend of mine, inspired by the experience of my acquaintance. What started as a thoughtful gesture turned into a heartfelt collection, embodying the joy of giving and the lasting impression of small, beautiful things.
I first launched Bloom Buddies in my first pop-up store, and to my surprise, many people asked why it wasn’t released before Valentine’s Day. There was no particular reason, but I believe that every day can be Valentine’s Day—showering love isn’t limited to just one day.

When it came to pricing, I received comments that the pieces were too cheap for something so lasting, especially compared to real flowers that quickly go to waste. Since each one is handmade, requiring time, effort, and craftsmanship, it is a unique expression of care. (P.S. Yup, even the cute packaging is made by hand.) To be honest, after sharing these thoughts, I noticed that many of those who commented did not make a purchase, and I wondered why. But to address this: Bloom Buddies is made to be affordable because love can be that simple. A small gesture a day is all it takes, yet how many of us actually do it?
This collection is a reminder to nurture, to cherish, and to find joy in small, sustainable efforts. Whether it’s through a simple design, a thoughtful message, or a piece that brings comfort, Bloom Buddies honors the beauty of moments that bloom—even if only for a little while.
